Mechanic Technician

About the role

The Mechanic Technician will ensure the safe, reliable and efficient operation of all mechanical equipment and systems throughout the hotel. Working within the Engineering team, you will carry out inspections, preventive maintenance and repairs to support high‑quality guest experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of pumps, motors, valves, compressors and water systems.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guest areas and hotel departments, including emergency situations.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, work orders and equipment servicing.
• Assist with installation, testing and commissioning of new mechanical equipment as required.
• Support energy‑conservation and sustainability initiatives within the Engineering department.

Required profile

• Technical diploma or vocational qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Maintenance or a related field.
• Previous experience as a Mechanic Technician or in a similar mechanical maintenance role, preferably in hospitality or large facilities.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays and shifts.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, pumps, motors, valves and compressors.
• Experience with preventive and corrective maintenance practices.
• Proficiency in using mechanical tools and maintenance equipment.
