Mechanical Engineer – HVAC & MEP Design

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our design and consultancy team that delivers café, restaurant, retail and hospitality projects in Riyadh. The role focuses on HVAC and MEP design, requiring attention to detail and the ability to support multiple fast‑paced interior fit‑out and architectural assignments.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop HVAC, ventilation and mechanical systems for retail, food‑and‑beverage and hospitality projects.
• Prepare mechanical layouts, shop drawings and technical documentation using AutoCAD and related design software.
• Coordinate with architectural, electrical and interior design teams to ensure smooth project execution.
• Review project specifications, drawings and client requirements for design accuracy and compliance.
• Perform HVAC load calculations, duct sizing, equipment selection and overall MEP coordination.
• Ensure designs comply with local regulations, safety standards and project requirements.
• Support project teams during design development, execution and site coordination, including technical meetings and site visits.
• Assist in resolving technical and design‑related issues during project execution.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 3–7 years of experience in HVAC and MEP design, preferably on F&B, retail, hospitality or commercial projects.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, ventilation, MEP coordination and mechanical engineering principles.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, HVAC design software and MEP coordination tools.
• Experience with interior fit‑out or restaurant/café projects is highly preferred.
• Good understanding of local codes, standards and construction practices.
• Fluent in English; Arabic is an advantage.
