Mechanical Engineer – Infrastructure Supervision

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our supervision consultancy team on a large‑scale infrastructure development located about 100 km north of Jeddah. The role supports the Resident Engineer in overseeing mechanical and utility works, ensuring they meet project specifications, approved drawings, and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor mechanical and utility construction works on site.
• Assist the Resident Engineer (Mechanical) in overseeing all mechanical infrastructure activities.
• Inspect and supervise installation of potable water supply networks, firefighting systems, gas distribution networks, storm‑water drainage, sanitary sewage, and irrigation systems.
• Ensure contractor compliance with method statements, drawings, and quality standards.
• Review contractor submissions such as shop drawings and material submittals.
• Conduct site inspections, quality checks, and prepare inspection, site, and progress reports.
• Identify and report technical issues, non‑conformances, and delays.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in infrastructure construction or supervision.
• Proven experience with utility infrastructure projects (water, firefighting, gas, drainage, sewage, irrigation).
• Previous work with engineering consultancy firms in a supervision capacity is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of construction supervision, inspection procedures, and quality control standards.
