Mechanical Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support the inspection, risk assessment and lifecycle management of mechanical assets within our oil support operations in the Eastern Province. The role ensures equipment integrity, compliance with standards and continuous improvement of mechanical systems.

Key responsibilities

• Apply approved policies, processes and procedures to ensure controlled execution of work.
• Support the inspection department by conducting thorough mechanical inspections and recommending appropriate non‑destructive testing (NDT) methods.
• Analyze inspection and NDT results, prioritize findings and propose corrective actions.
• Perform risk assessments on mechanical assets, identify failure modes and work with cross‑functional teams to implement mitigation strategies.
• Participate in corrosion monitoring programs, develop management plans and recommend suitable materials or coatings.
• Assess asset lifecycle, contribute to maintenance, repair and replacement planning, and provide input on procurement for optimal performance.
• Maintain accurate documentation of inspections, assessments and maintenance activities, and generate reports on mechanical integrity.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Relevant engineering qualification (e.g., Mechanical Engineering).
• Experience in mechanical inspection, risk assessment or asset integrity within an industrial setting.
• Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory compliance.
