Mechanical Engineer – Reliability & Asset Performance

About the role

The Mechanical Engineer will support the reliability, integrity, and performance of mechanical equipment to ensure safe and efficient plant operations. You will troubleshoot equipment issues, conduct failure analysis, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Provide engineering support for mechanical equipment and maintenance activities.
• Monitor equipment performance and recommend reliability improvements.
• Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and support Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
• Support preventive, predictive, and reliability‑centered maintenance programs.
• Troubleshoot rotating equipment, hydraulic systems, and material handling equipment.
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards, safety regulations, and industry best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in heavy industrial environments such as smelting, mining, or steel.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical integrity and asset reliability programs.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) certification preferred.
