Mechanical Maintenance Engineer - HVAC (Petrochemical)

About the role

Eram Talent is hiring a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer with core experience in petrochemical plants. The engineer maintains the reliability, availability and performance of HVAC and Mechanical Refrigeration Units (MRUs) serving critical petrochemical facilities, leading preventive and predictive maintenance, troubleshooting, root cause investigations, reliability improvements and spare parts optimisation.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot and optimise HVAC, chiller and industrial refrigeration systems in petrochemical and process plant environments
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, refrigeration and control failures
• Analyse operating parameters such as temperature, pressure, flow, superheat, subcooling and compressor performance
• Interpret HVAC/refrigeration schematics, P&IDs, electrical drawings and OEM documentation
• Use BMS and HVAC control systems to monitor performance, troubleshoot control logic, analyse alarms and integrate assets with centralised platforms
• Perform RCI investigations on critical and repetitive equipment failures and implement corrective and preventive actions
• Develop and run preventive maintenance programmes, ensure timely completion of work orders and manage spare parts inventory with procurement and warehouse teams
• Comply with safety regulations, take part in PSSR, risk assessments and incident investigations, and support process safety for HVAC systems in occupied buildings

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in petrochemical, refinery, oil and gas
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering
