Medical Science Liaison - Dermatology, KSA

About the role

Galderma, a dermatology company active in about 90 countries, is looking for a Medical Science Liaison in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, focused on dermatology. The role acts as the scientific bridge between the company and key opinion leaders and experts, supporting them with accurate, non-promotional scientific information and facilitating research and educational projects.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with local, regional and national key opinion leaders and experts, and with academic centres, to support Galderma's research and educational priorities
• Facilitate medical-scientific projects and requests such as clinical studies, NIS and IITs, and act as the point of contact for KOLs in KSA
• Provide practical, clinically relevant information so that experts can use Galderma products safely and efficiently
• Support Tier 1, 2 and 3 external experts and communicate about compounds in development in a strictly scientific, non-promotional way, in line with laws and regulations
• Organise advisory boards, brief speakers for symposia, run sales force education and training, and deliver scientific slide kits
• Attend scientific meetings and conferences, gather insights and prepare summaries and presentations, including competitor analyses
• Work closely with the medical office, marketing and sales teams, and with the Global and International Medical Affairs teams
• Take part in selecting thought leaders and ensure all activities comply with local, global and national laws and Galderma's policies

Required profile

• Degree in medicine, pharmacy or another life sciences field (MSc, PhD desirable)
• Several years of experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology or medical devices industry (desirable)
• Experience liaising with medical professionals and opinion leaders
• Experience developing and presenting scientific or medical content to clinical peers and seniors (essential)
• Good communication and presentation skills (essential)
• Team-oriented, able to prioritise in a changing environment and build credibility with medical professionals
