MEP Inspector

About the role

The MEP Inspector will join Afniah Engineering Consulting's Project Supervision team in Saudi Arabia. The role focuses on inspecting and monitoring mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) construction and installation activities to ensure strict compliance with approved drawings, specifications, engineering standards, and company quality procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct systematic inspections and testing of MEP installations on site.
• Verify that work complies with approved drawings, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare detailed technical reports, inspection and test plans, and documentation of non‑conformities.
• Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and safety officers to resolve defects and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor site safety and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
• Support project delivery through accurate record‑keeping and follow‑up on corrective measures.

Required profile

• Saudi national with a Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services Engineering or a related discipline.
• 5–7 years of professional experience in MEP inspection, construction supervision, engineering consultancy, or project supervision.
• Experience in HVAC installation inspection and MEP system testing is preferred.

Required skills

• Strong MEP inspection and testing capabilities.
• Knowledge of HVAC, mechanical, electrical, plumbing and building services systems.
• Ability to read and interpret MEP drawings and specifications.
• Familiarity with inspection/testing procedures, engineering standards and regulatory requirements.
• Understanding of site safety and compliance requirements.
• Technical reporting, documentation and QA/QC procedure expertise.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project documentation systems.
