About the role

The American International School – Riyadh (AIS‑R) seeks a passionate Middle School Arabic Teacher to inspire inquisitive, independent learners. The role involves designing and delivering Arabic language instruction for middle‑school students while fostering a positive, student‑centered environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, plan, and deliver curriculum‑aligned Arabic lessons using the Understanding by Design framework.
• Maintain effective classroom control, organization, and behavior management.
• Assess student learning with clear criteria and provide timely feedback.
• Collect, analyze, and use data to monitor academic progress and inform instruction.
• Communicate learning targets and assessment criteria clearly to students and parents.
• Collaborate with colleagues to uphold AIS‑R’s core competencies and safeguarding policies.

Required profile

• Minimum bachelor’s degree and a valid North American or equivalent teaching certificate.
• Subject‑area certification and at least two years of full‑time K‑12 teaching experience.
• Fluency in English and strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Commitment to lifelong learning, professional development, and AIS‑R’s core values.
• Understanding of student safeguarding practices and mandatory reporting.
