MRO Purchasing Officer – Maintenance & Operations

About the role

We are seeking an experienced MRO Purchasing Officer to lead the procurement of maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) materials, industrial spare parts, tools, and consumables for our cable manufacturing plant. The role focuses on ensuring uninterrupted production by securing the right parts at the right time and price.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end purchasing of MRO items and industrial spare parts for plant operations.
• Source and evaluate suppliers for mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and maintenance components.
• Obtain quotations, assess price, quality, specifications, availability, and lead times.
• Negotiate competitive pricing, payment terms, and delivery conditions.
• Prepare and process purchase orders, monitor delivery schedules, and ensure timely receipt of goods.
• Prioritize urgent and critical spare parts to minimise production downtime.
• Identify alternative suppliers and equivalent parts to improve availability and reduce costs.
• Track pending orders, shortages, and supplier performance.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records, supplier databases, RFQs, quotations, and purchase orders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or a related field from a reputable Saudi university.
• Minimum 2–3 years of relevant procurement experience within Saudi Arabia.
• Proven experience buying spare parts, tools, and industrial MRO items.
• Familiarity with industrial end‑users and manufacturing environments.
• Preference for candidates with strong Saudi‑market MRO procurement experience.
