O&M Engineer – Gas Plants and Pipelines (Al Jubail)

About the role

The O&M Engineer supports the safe, efficient and reliable operation and maintenance of gas plant and pipeline systems. The role covers plant operations, mechanical equipment maintenance and asset integrity in line with safety and operational standards. The workplace is on site.

Key responsibilities

• Perform and support day-to-day operations and maintenance of gas plants and pipeline systems
• Monitor plant and pipeline performance to ensure safe and efficient operation
• Carry out preventive, corrective and breakdown maintenance
• Maintain mechanical equipment, including static and rotary equipment such as vessels, heat exchangers, pumps, compressors and valves
• Diagnose equipment faults and implement corrective actions to minimise downtime
• Support shutdowns, turnarounds and major maintenance activities
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and regulatory requirements
• Prepare maintenance reports, work orders and technical documentation
• Coordinate with operations teams, contractors and vendors during maintenance
• Use SAP PM for maintenance planning, execution and reporting (preferred)

Required profile

• University degree in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering
• 5 to 8 years of experience in operations and maintenance of gas plants and pipelines
• Proven experience in plant and pipeline operations
• Strong hands-on experience maintaining mechanical equipment

Required skills

• Knowledge of gas processing facilities and pipeline systems
• Expertise in mechanical maintenance practices and equipment reliability
• SAP PM experience preferred
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Understanding of safety procedures and permit-to-work systems
• Teamwork, communication and reporting skills, attention to detail
