OPD Dermatology Nurse – Riyadh

About the role

The Dermatology Outpatient Department (OPD) Nurse provides safe, efficient, and patient‑centered nursing care to dermatology patients in an outpatient setting. Working closely with dermatologists, the nurse prepares patients and equipment, assists during procedures, and delivers education and post‑procedure support.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and assess patients attending the dermatology outpatient clinic, recording vital signs, allergies, medical history, and current medications.
• Prepare patients for consultations and clinical procedures, ensuring treatment rooms and equipment are ready.
• Assist dermatologists during examinations, skin biopsies, wound care, cryotherapy, cauterization, and other minor dermatological procedures.
• Perform wound dressing, post‑procedure skin care, and administer prescribed medications, injections, and topical treatments within scope of practice.
• Monitor patients for adverse reactions, complications, or changes in condition and promptly report concerns to the physician.
• Provide patient education on medication use, topical applications, wound care, sun protection, skin hygiene, treatment compliance, and follow‑up appointments.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or a recognized Nursing Diploma.
• Valid professional registration with the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) and a Saudi nursing license.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (preferred/required per facility policy).
• Previous experience in dermatology, outpatient nursing, or cosmetic dermatology is preferred.
• Good English communication skills.
