Openwater Scuba Instructor

About the role

Red Sea Sports & Entertainment (RSSE), a subsidiary of Red Sea Global, is hiring an Openwater Instructor for a site-based role at a luxury dive centre. The instructor delivers scuba diving training in line with internationally recognised standards, ensuring safe, professional and engaging entry-level and continuing education programmes while supporting daily dive centre operations and environmental awareness.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver scuba diving courses (confined water, open water, entry-level and advanced) according to training agency standards such as PADI or SSI
• Give thorough pre-dive briefings and post-dive debriefings, and supervise students in the water
• Assess student performance and certify participants in line with agency requirements
• Support the Dive Center Manager in day-to-day operations and help set up training facilities before opening
• Maintain student records, certifications and incident reports, and report risks to management
• Promote responsible diving and environmental conservation, and maintain first aid, CPR and emergency oxygen provider certifications

Required profile

• Certified Open Water Scuba Instructor from a recognised agency (e.g. PADI OWSI, SSI Instructor)
• Active teaching status with valid, up-to-date professional membership
• At least 2 years of experience teaching scuba diving in a commercial environment
• First Aid, CPR, AED and Emergency Oxygen Provider certifications
• Experience with diverse groups and skill levels; luxury tourism experience is an advantage

Required skills

• Excellent spoken and written English; Arabic is an advantage
• Teaching, coaching and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team, with strong organisation and time management

Desirable: additional instructor ratings, Arabic, underwater photography/videography, and knowledge of marine life and conservation. Flexibility for weekends, holidays and peak seasons is required.
