About the role
We are seeking a motivated Pastry Commis II to join the pastry team at Raffles & Fairmont The Red Sea, a new ultra‑luxury resort in Umluj, Saudi Arabia.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the Executive Pastry Chef and Sous Chef in daily pastry operations.
- Participate in pastry and bakery production while maintaining quality, consistency, and presentation.
- Follow established production procedures, recipes, and hygiene standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized work environment and ensure proper equipment handling.
- Report any quality concerns, equipment issues, or operational problems to senior chefs.
Required profile
- Previous experience in a pastry, bakery or kitchen environment, preferably in a luxury hotel or resort.
- Basic knowledge of pastry and bakery production techniques and food safety standards.
- Ability to follow recipes and operate basic pastry equipment safely.
- Flexible to work shifts including early mornings, weekends and public holidays.
- Professional appearance and high personal hygiene standards.
