PBX Operator (Saudi National) – Fairmont The Red Sea

About the role

Fairmont The Red Sea, part of Raffles & Fairmont in the Red Sea Project, is looking for a Saudi national PBX operator. The role covers answering calls, handling guest requests and acting as a central communication point, including during emergencies.

Key responsibilities

• Answer all incoming and internal calls promptly using the approved Fairmont greeting and etiquette, route calls, take messages and handle guest wake-up calls and special requests.
• Assist guests with inquiries and service requests, coordinate them with departments and support service recovery.
• Follow emergency procedures for fire, medical or security situations, act as a central communication point and keep emergency contact lists up to date.
• Record and relay messages accurately and confidentially, maintain call logs, wake-up call records and update extension lists and contact directories.
• Uphold Fairmont communication, grooming and service standards, keep guest information confidential and comply with hotel policies and data protection requirements.

Required profile

• Fluency in English is required; additional languages are a strong advantage.
• 1-2 years of experience in PBX, Front Office or Guest Services in a luxury or five-star hotel is preferred.
• Diploma or certificate in Hospitality or a related field is an advantage.
• Experience in pre-opening operations, project coordination and setting up wellness facilities is highly preferred.
• Ability to work shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.

Required skills

• Proficiency in telephone systems and basic computer applications.
• Excellent verbal communication, listening and speaking skills, with strong multitasking and attention to detail.
• Calm, professional behaviour under pressure and impeccable grooming.
