Pharmacy Specialist

About the role

The Pharmacy Specialist ensures the safe, accurate, and timely delivery of prescribed medicines and pharmaceutical products to patients. Working closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, the specialist provides expert medication counseling and supports optimal therapeutic outcomes. This role also contributes to the continuous improvement of pharmacy services within the facility.

Key responsibilities

• Dispense prescribed medications and other pharmaceutical products in accordance with professional standards and local regulations.
• Compound medications following established guidelines, ensuring quality and safety.
• Consult with patients, families, and healthcare staff to provide medication counseling and address concerns.
• Maintain accurate records of dispensed and compounded drugs, including documentation for audits.
• Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and ensure proper storage conditions for all pharmaceutical items.
• Participate in medication safety initiatives and contribute to continuous quality improvement projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences.
• Successful completion of the Saudi Pharmacist Licensure Examination.
• Saudi national.
• Proficient in written and spoken English.
• Frequent computer user with good communication skills for interacting with patients and healthcare professionals.
