Phlebotomist – Home Health Care

About the role

We are seeking qualified phlebotomists to join our Home Health Care (HHC) team. In this role you will travel to patients' homes to collect blood specimens, ensuring a compassionate and professional experience for each client.

Key responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and other specimen collection procedures in patients' homes.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all visits and collected samples.
• Handle, label, and transport specimens according to infection‑prevention and regulatory standards.
• Coordinate with the HHC team to schedule daily visits efficiently.
• Provide patient‑centered education and support during the collection process.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or a related healthcare discipline.
• Valid SCFHS registration with an active professional classification.
• 1–2 years of hands‑on phlebotomy experience with proven competency in venipuncture.
• Previous experience in home health care is highly preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach.
• Ability to work independently and manage daily home visits.
