Physics Teacher

About the role

The school seeks a dedicated Physics Teacher to deliver high‑quality instruction across Grades 6‑12, including IGCSE and A‑Level curricula. The successful candidate will create a safe, stimulating learning environment and collaborate closely with parents and colleagues.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver Physics schemes of work aligned with the school’s curriculum and statutory requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, rewards, sanctions and statutory documentation.
• Provide regular feedback to students and conduct termly parent interviews to discuss performance.
• Ensure safeguarding, wellbeing and health‑and‑safety policies are followed at all times.
• Supervise students during registration, assemblies, playtime, lunchtimes and other non‑class periods.
• Promote Physics through co‑curricular activities and extracurricular opportunities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Physics (or related field) and Qualified Teacher Status (or equivalent).
• At least one year of post‑qualification Physics teaching experience, preferably across Grades 6‑12 and IGCSE/A‑Level.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain high teaching standards and contribute to academic results.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.).
• Data analysis skills to inform planning and improve student performance.
