Planning Analyst – Utilities (Saudi Arabia)

About the role

The Planning Analyst supports operational planning, maintenance scheduling and resource coordination for a water treatment plant in Saudi Arabia. The role ensures efficient plant performance through accurate data analysis, preventive maintenance planning and comprehensive reporting while adhering to safety and environmental standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain daily, weekly and monthly operational and maintenance plans.
• Coordinate with Operations, Maintenance, Procurement and Engineering to execute planned activities.
• Monitor plant performance indicators, operational efficiency and maintenance schedules.
• Analyze operational data and generate reports for management decision‑making.
• Track preventive and corrective maintenance activities using CMMS/SAP systems.
• Ensure availability of manpower, materials, spare parts and other resources.
• Support shutdown planning, turnaround activities and emergency maintenance.
• Maintain records of work orders, equipment history and planning documentation.
• Identify operational risks, bottlenecks and improvement opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with HSE regulations, company policies and quality standards.
• Coordinate with contractors and vendors regarding service schedules.
• Prepare KPI reports, performance dashboards and operational summaries for management review.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in planning or operations support within water treatment, utilities, industrial plants or process industries.
• Experience in maintenance planning and scheduling is preferred.
• Knowledge of water treatment plant operations and maintenance processes is an advantage.
