Planning and Follow-up Senior Specialist

About the role

The Planning and Follow-up Senior Specialist supports ZATCA in translating strategic objectives into actionable operational plans. Working with minimal supervision, the specialist ensures that departmental plans, KPIs, and budgets align with the authority’s overall strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and analyse data to produce detailed reports that reflect the sector’s strategic direction.
• Communicate approved strategic objectives to internal stakeholders and assist in developing annual operating plans.
• Consolidate departmental strategic, operational and budgetary plans and coordinate approval with the Strategy and Development sector.
• Define and monitor KPIs and targets, ensuring alignment with ZATCA’s strategic goals.
• Support implementation of operational plans, identify challenges, and coordinate resolutions with relevant teams.
• Coordinate cross‑organizational initiatives, ensure compliance with mandates, and escalate discrepancies as needed.
• Act as a focal point for business‑process updates, aligning them with ZATCA guidelines and templates.
• Draft action plans from meeting outcomes, communicate decisions, and follow up on implementation.
• Provide guidance to junior staff, train them on core activities, and escalate complex issues appropriately.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in planning, reporting or strategic support.
