Plant Applications Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a highly skilled Plant Applications Engineer to manage and support critical industrial control system applications at our gasification and power facilities. The role focuses on ensuring the performance, security, and reliability of DCS, SCADA, and related OT applications.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and maintain plant applications such as DCS, SCADA, Alarm Management Systems, OSIsoft PI Historian, and Aspen IP.21.
• Manage user accounts, Active Directory integration, group policies, and role‑based access.
• Support industrial communication protocols including DSA, FTE, S7, Modbus, OPC, Profinet, and Ethernet/IP.
• Ensure backups are current, recoverable, and coordinate licensing, patching, and vendor updates.
• Monitor application performance, troubleshoot connectivity and protocol errors, and maintain detailed service records.
• Implement cybersecurity controls, RBAC, and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and compliance records.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 6 years of hands‑on experience supporting industrial control system applications in process, power, petrochemical or oil & gas environments.
• Proven experience with DCS platforms such as Honeywell Experion, Siemens PCS 7, Siemens T3000, SPPA, or similar.
• Experience in installation, configuration, administration, and support of plant applications.
