PLC Automation Engineer – Automotive Industry (Jeddah, Saudi Arabia)

About the role

Siemens Digital Industries is seeking a PLC Automation Engineer to support automotive‑industry customers in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The role bridges the customer team and automotive line builders, delivering quick technical resolutions and ensuring optimal performance of Siemens automation systems.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve issues on Siemens Automation systems, including TIA Portal, S7‑1500F, ET200SP and Unified HMI runtime.
• Monitor and troubleshoot Profinet network performance and ensure system reliability.
• Configure and support OPC UA interfaces with MES and assist with network device installation (routers, switches).
• Prepare and maintain documentation of network configurations, processes, procedures and manuals.
• Collaborate with end‑customer production and engineering teams to improve system performance and support routine maintenance activities.
• Implement and manage network security measures and, when required, support SINEC and SINEMA system implementations.

Required profile

• Minimum 2‑3 years (24 months) of experience on PLC projects in the automotive industry.
• Proven ability to act as a technical bridge between customers and line builders.
• Strong understanding of safety and quality standards for PLC‑related work.
