Power BI Specialist

About the role

The Power BI Specialist will own the end‑to‑end administration of our Power BI ecosystem, ensuring it remains reliable, secure and performant. You will work closely with IT, infrastructure and security teams to deliver a compliant analytics platform that meets the needs of business users.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and maintain the organization’s Power BI environment, covering availability, scalability and security.
• Manage Power BI Report Server, datasets, data sources, gateways, report deployments and scheduled refreshes.
• Configure workspaces, user roles, permissions and access controls following enterprise security standards.
• Monitor platform health, performance, capacity utilization and user adoption.
• Perform maintenance activities such as upgrades, patching, backups and disaster‑recovery testing.
• Implement governance standards, naming conventions and lifecycle management for reports, dashboards and workspaces.
• Set up and maintain Row‑Level Security and other access‑control mechanisms.
• Ensure compliance with data‑governance, security and regulatory requirements.
• Automate administrative tasks, dataset refreshes, monitoring and deployment processes.
• Provide expert troubleshooting and support for Power BI platform issues.
• Deliver training and guidance to report developers, analysts and business users.
• Create administrative dashboards to track usage, performance metrics and licensing.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field.
• 4–5 years of experience in Power BI administration, BI platforms or analytics infrastructure.
• Strong communication, documentation and stakeholder support abilities.
