Presales Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Presales Engineer to support the Regional Sales Director in Saudi Arabia and the wider Middle East. You will act as the technical champion for IDEMIA’s security solutions, delivering presentations, workshops and proof‑of‑concepts to government, airport and critical infrastructure customers.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Regional Sales Director during customer meetings and business development activities.
• Deliver technical presentations, workshops and product demonstrations.
• Lead discovery sessions, define solution architectures and recommend appropriate IDEMIA products.
• Plan, configure and execute proof‑of‑concepts, including deployment of hardware and software.
• Serve as the primary technical contact for customers, partners and system integrators throughout evaluations.
• Prepare technical documentation, solution designs and customer‑facing presentations.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, Support and Sales to relay feedback and resolve issues.
• Monitor competitor activity and market trends to inform product evolution.
• Provide weekly and monthly activity reports and support project hand‑over when required.
• Travel across Saudi Arabia and the Middle East as needed.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in a customer‑facing technical, integration, pre‑sales or solutions engineering role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Electronics Engineering or a related field.
• Experience with biometric technologies, identity management, physical access control or security solutions.
• Proven track record delivering demonstrations, workshops and POCs.
• Strong understanding of solution architecture, systems integration and enterprise infrastructure.
• Experience in government, airport, transportation or public‑security environments is highly desirable.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting and communication skills.
