Principal Specialist, BU Data Domain

About the role

Ma'aden, a major mining and metals company, is hiring a Principal Specialist for its Corporate Functions Data Domain in Riyadh. The role develops, governs and optimizes corporate function data assets so that data is trusted, high quality and accessible, supporting strategic decisions, operations, regulatory compliance and digital transformation. It bridges business stakeholders and technology teams and drives data maturity across corporate functions.

Key responsibilities

• Shape and execute the data domain roadmap aligned with enterprise data and digital strategies, prioritizing initiatives that maximize business value and decision quality.
• Establish governance frameworks, ownership models, standards and controls, and monitor compliance with data policies and regulatory obligations.
• Improve data quality, consistency, accuracy and traceability across critical datasets, and resolve data risks and governance gaps.
• Develop and enhance data products for reporting, analytics, automation and AI use cases, improving their availability, usability and lifecycle management.
• Build partnerships with corporate function leaders, align stakeholders and influence data-driven decisions.
• Identify improvements to data processes and controls, accelerate adoption of modern data capabilities and share knowledge to advance data maturity.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Management, Engineering, Business Analytics or a related discipline.
• 10-12 years of experience in data management, data governance, analytics or enterprise information management.
• Experience leading data domain, master data or data product initiatives in large, complex organizations.
• Experience with enterprise data governance frameworks, data quality management and collaboration with business and technology stakeholders.
