Process Engineer – Home Care

About the role

Unilever is seeking a Process Engineer for its Home Care division to drive industrial performance and sustainability. The role focuses on designing, optimizing and certifying end‑to‑end manufacturing processes while ensuring safety, quality and environmental standards.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy safety and environmental procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
• Research, design and develop new equipment and establish standards.
• Configure and optimise industrial processes from ideation through certification, managing cost and time constraints.
• Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with internal and external regulations.
• Collect data, prepare reports and present findings to senior management.
• Oversee existing processes, identify improvement opportunities and implement new procedures.
• Use process simulation software to evaluate production strategies and recommend changes.
• Track performance metrics, document process changes and support zero‑loss, zero‑waste initiatives.
• Train line operators, assess capabilities and develop improvement plans.
• Participate in trials of new packaging, raw materials and equipment upgrades.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering (Mechanical preferred) with a strong technical background.
• Excellent analytical, mathematical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Continuous‑improvement mindset and basic technical knowledge with capacity to learn advanced concepts.
• Strong written and verbal communication, attention to detail and coaching skills.
• Proven ability to identify, assess and resolve issues.
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations and process engineering standards.
• Preferred experience in loss elimination, production environments and use of simulation tools.
