Process Engineer (PDH) – Engineer III

About the role

We are seeking a Process Engineer (PDH) at Engineer III level to join our Jubail plant. The role focuses on monitoring, optimizing and expanding petrochemical processes, ensuring safe and efficient operation of our Ethylene Cracker and Propane Dehydrogenation units.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical input and support to plant operations, preparing heat and material balance scenarios.
• Evaluate existing processes and proposed design changes, considering environmental and economic impacts.
• Collaborate with process chemists and control engineers to maximize output and operational efficiency.
• Design and implement scale‑up or scale‑down procedures, adjusting equipment design as needed.
• Participate in design, installation and commissioning of new projects, monitoring progress and troubleshooting issues.
• Perform process simulations and develop models for plant expansion or reconfiguration.
• Conduct risk assessments, manage cost and schedule constraints, and produce process documentation and operating instructions.
• Optimize production by analyzing processes, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations, and introducing innovative technologies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in petrochemical process engineering.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Familiarity with Ethylene Cracker (EC) processes.
• Experience with Propane Dehydrogenation (PDH) processes.
• Knowledge of utilities processes within a petrochemical environment.
