Procurement Manager – Strategic Sourcing & Contracts

About the role

The Procurement Manager leads the procurement function across construction and operational phases, developing strategies that ensure timely, cost‑effective, and sustainable acquisition of goods, materials, equipment, and services. Working closely with project managers, design, engineering and construction teams, the role balances quality, cost, risk and operational requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business and operational objectives.
• Establish and maintain procurement policies, procedures and best practices.
• Identify, evaluate, qualify and manage local and international suppliers, maintaining an approved supplier list.
• Conduct market research, benchmarking and commercial analysis to uncover sourcing opportunities.
• Prepare, review and manage RFQs, RFPs, tenders, Bills of Quantities and supplier selection processes.
• Lead commercial negotiations covering pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, warranties and service levels.
• Draft, review and administer procurement contracts, ensuring risk mitigation.
• Coordinate with construction teams to guarantee proper delivery, inspection and acceptance of materials and equipment.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading procurement functions in construction or similar heavy‑industry environments.
• Strong understanding of strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management and contract negotiation.
• Ability to work collaboratively with internal stakeholders such as project managers, engineers and designers.
• Excellent analytical skills for cost optimisation and process improvement.
• Knowledge of relevant legal, regulatory and quality standards.
