Procurement Representative

About the role

The Procurement Representative is responsible for managing the end‑to‑end purchasing process, from receiving purchase requests to ensuring timely delivery of goods. This role works closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to secure the best value while maintaining quality and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and validate purchase requests, ensuring complete specifications.
• Identify and qualify new suppliers, establishing strong vendor relationships.
• Obtain quotations, negotiate pricing, discounts, and commercial terms.
• Prepare price comparisons, evaluate proposals, and issue purchase orders.
• Track orders to guarantee on‑time delivery and receipt at warehouses.
• Resolve non‑conforming or defective material issues and coordinate corrective actions.
• Conduct supplier site visits and vendor evaluations as needed.
• Prepare procurement performance reports and recommend process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and budgets.
• Monitor market trends and sourcing opportunities to achieve cost savings.

Required profile

• Diploma in Business Administration, Accounting, Supply Chain Management, or related field (High School Diploma with relevant experience also considered).
• Minimum 4 years procurement experience for diploma holders or 6 years for high‑school graduates.
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management, and purchasing procedures.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple requests simultaneously.
