Project Director – Luxury Hospitality Development

About the role

Boutique Group is seeking a senior Project Director to lead the end‑to‑end delivery of its ultra‑luxury boutique hotel portfolio across historic palaces in Saudi Arabia. The role combines heritage conservation with modern hospitality standards, ensuring each development meets business objectives, brand requirements and guest experience expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive Project Delivery strategy aligned with corporate goals.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams across design, procurement, construction, commercial and handover phases.
• Provide executive oversight from feasibility studies through defects liability period.
• Ensure projects meet approved business cases, quality standards and operational readiness.
• Manage consultants, specialist advisors and contractors, guaranteeing compliance with brand, heritage and statutory requirements.
• Oversee contract administration, claims, variations, dispute avoidance and commercial negotiations.
• Direct construction execution, logistics, safety, quality and approve recovery plans for delayed projects.
• Coordinate FF&E, OS&E and operational requirements with hotel operators.
• Chair executive project reviews, change‑control boards and risk reviews, delivering portfolio dashboards on cost, programme, risk and quality.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading large‑scale luxury hospitality or heritage restoration projects.
• Strong track record of delivering complex developments on time, within budget and to high quality standards.
• Deep understanding of heritage conservation principles and ultra‑luxury hospitality expectations.
• Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
