Project Engineer – Civil (SS)

About the role

The Project Engineer – Civil (SS) will support the delivery of civil works for substation projects, ensuring that schedules, budgets and quality standards are met. Working closely with the Project Manager, Planning Engineer and design teams, the role coordinates all civil activities on‑site.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret project requirements and develop detailed time schedules in coordination with the Project Manager and Planning Engineer.
• Execute civil works in collaboration with internal departments and supervise all civil subcontractors.
• Coordinate with the design team and the Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) for substation design approvals.
• Prepare Bill of Quantities (BOQ) estimates and assist in cost estimating, budgeting and financial forecasting.
• Arrange resources for structural and finishing works to ensure smooth project execution.
• Identify and qualify reliable vendors and subcontractors for civil‑related supplies.
• Control costs within the approved budget and monitor the project schedule on a daily, weekly and monthly basis, initiating corrective actions when needed.
• Manage material deliveries with vendors and ensure timely closure of civil‑related punch points.

Required profile

• Proven experience in civil project engineering, preferably on substation or similar infrastructure projects.
• Strong ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors.
• Excellent analytical skills for cost control and schedule monitoring.
• Good communication skills for interfacing with design teams, clients and vendors.
