Project Engineer – Transmission Projects

About the role

The Project Engineer will lead transmission projects from the initial base‑design phase through to final handover. This role involves coordinating electrical component activities, monitoring schedules and budgets, and ensuring that all deliverables meet company standards and client expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage transmission projects from base design to final acceptance, ensuring timely completion.
• Coordinate electrical component activities and supervise construction tasks.
• Monitor project schedules, budgets, and daily operations, maintaining compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Review and approve material submittals, shop drawings, and as‑built drawings.
• Forward engineering transmittals to relevant SEC divisions.
• Prepare regular technical reports and monthly progress updates for the Project Manager.
• Develop detailed weekly construction programs and determine manpower/resource requirements.
• Liaise with construction managers, clients, and subcontractors to ensure alignment with project scope.
• Track project budgets and keep deliverables on schedule using Primavera P6.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing transmission or similar infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of electrical components and construction processes.
• Ability to work closely with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
• Excellent organizational and reporting skills.
