Project Engineering Intern

About the role

Hitachi Energy is looking for a Project Engineering Intern (project management trainee) in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. The intern supports the planning, execution and monitoring of real projects alongside experienced project managers, helping track schedules and deliverables and coordinate cross-functional activities. The role sits within the Continuous Improvement team, applying Lean, Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen and process improvement methods to drive productivity, quality, delivery, cost and safety improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Support daily project activities and learn the Hitachi HV product portfolio and basic electrical network fundamentals.
• Understand the project execution cycle and work with project managers on customer, vendor and supply chain activities.
• Take the lead on some tasks assigned by project managers and handle small, basic projects.
• Practice communication with different stakeholders.
• Maintain project records and lessons learned.
• Help develop work instructions, standard operating procedures and best practices.
• Ensure compliance with company quality, safety and environmental requirements, as well as external and internal regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in electrical or industrial engineering.
• Fresh graduate with basic knowledge of electrical network basics, projects or engineering management.
• Basic knowledge of data analysis, reporting, problem solving and documentation.
• Fluency in spoken and written English and Arabic.
