Public Affairs Specialist – Riyadh & Dubai (2 openings)

About the role

The Public Affairs Specialist will lead government and regulatory relations, compliance, and crisis management for our automotive business across Saudi Arabia and the UAE. You will act as the primary liaison with ministries, customs, and local authorities to ensure smooth operations and support the company’s localisation strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and maintain communication channels with government departments, regulatory agencies and industry bodies.
• Monitor automotive policy changes, interpret impacts and develop business response plans.
• Manage licences, certifications and qualifications, ensuring continuous validity.
• Handle government inspections, compliance inquiries and lead corrective actions.
• Collaborate with PR to manage crisis events related to regulation and public opinion.
• Develop policy‑risk early‑warning mechanisms and produce regular risk reports.
• Support localisation initiatives, including local hiring, procurement and technology transfer.
• Coordinate internal teams to resolve government‑level obstacles such as customs clearance and site approvals.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Public Affairs, International Relations, Law, Business Administration, Automotive Engineering or related fields.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in public affairs, government relations or regulatory compliance, preferably in the automotive sector.
• Proven ability to work with multiple government entities and industry associations.
