QA/QC Engineer

About the role

The QA/QC Engineer ensures that all project activities, materials, and deliverables meet the required quality standards, specifications, codes, and contractual obligations. This role drives continuous improvement across all phases of construction or manufacturing projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain the project Quality Management System (QMS) in line with ISO 9001 and industry standards.
• Prepare and update Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), quality control procedures and method statements.
• Conduct site and factory inspections at material receipt, in‑process, and final stages to verify compliance with drawings and specifications.
• Review and approve material submittals, shop drawings and subcontractor quality documentation.
• Coordinate third‑party inspections, testing and certifications as required.
• Identify non‑conformances, raise NCRs and track corrective and preventive actions to closure.
• Perform internal audits, support external/client audits and prepare audit reports.
• Maintain accurate quality records, inspection reports, test certificates and traceability documentation.
• Collaborate with project management, engineering, procurement and site teams to resolve quality issues promptly.
• Support root‑cause analysis and recommend process improvements.
• Deliver training and toolbox talks to promote quality awareness.
• Compile quality metrics and prepare periodic performance reports for management.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial or related).
• 3‑8 years of QA/QC experience in construction or manufacturing.
• ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor / Internal Auditor certification (preferred).
• Fluent Arabic and professional English.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 QMS requirements.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, P&IDs, GA drawings and technical specifications.
• Knowledge of material testing methods.
• Familiarity with codes such as ASME, ASTM, API, BS, EN.
