QA/QC Team Leader

About the role

We are seeking an experienced QA/QC Team Leader to oversee quality assurance and control activities for our power and automation projects in Jubail. The role involves managing the QA/QC department, coordinating with clients, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the QA/QC department staff, allocating resources to projects from tendering through commissioning.
• Act as the primary liaison between the company and clients on all QA/QC matters.
• Control department budgets, monitor costs, and drive cost‑reduction initiatives through competitive subcontractor selection.
• Develop and maintain procedures, work instructions, and training materials for the Power and Automation division.
• Ensure efficient planning of jobs, spares, budgeting, invoicing, procurement and engineering functions to improve system reliability.
• Attend client meetings, construction and quality reviews, and coordinate with third‑party inspection authorities.
• Identify non‑conformances, review tenders and contracts for welding and NDE requirements, and resolve quality issues on site.
• Provide guidance on welding, material selection and NDE activities to engineers and project managers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 12 years of experience in QA/QC within industrial or construction projects.
• Proven leadership experience managing QA/QC teams and budgets.
• Strong knowledge of client quality standards and ability to ensure client satisfaction.

Required skills

• Familiarity with inspection codes such as ASME and API.
• Expertise in welding procedures and non‑destructive examination (NDE).
• Ability to develop quality procedures, work instructions and training materials.
