QC Inspector - Electrical (MRI)

About the role

Samsung E&A, a specialized EPC company covering the plant industry, is hiring a full-time QC Inspector for electrical work (MRI) in Jubail. The inspector is responsible for pre- and post-inspections of equipment, temporary camps and office/site connections during construction, checking electrical integrity and compliance with project and international standards.

Key responsibilities

• Establish random and periodic inspection plans and maintain record forms according to project requirements and international codes and standards.
• Control inspection status through efficient tools and proactively identify potential risks and take preventive action.
• Report all deviations directly to the EHSS reporting authority and the executing team so corrective actions can be implemented.
• Ensure all equipment complies with electrical standards and that load-bearing capacities meet requirements.
• Supervise, inspect and sign inspection certificates for equipment, panels and devices in line with project guidelines.
• Ensure a periodic inspection schedule is set up, communicated to and followed by subcontractors, and that only compliant connections and equipment are used.
• Work closely with other teams and personnel on assigned tasks.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or higher, with full knowledge of applicable industry standards and specifications.
• Mandatory Aramco experience, with SAP No. and CBT passed (to be stated on the CV).
• Overall 5 years of experience, with at least 3 years as an inspector and 2 years in contract scope of work.
• Project-based experience in Environment, Health, Safety and Security within the oil and gas or petrochemical industry.
• Thorough knowledge of the National Electric Code/NFPA 70, IEC or equivalent standards, and of electrical installations, materials, methods, specifications and hazardous location identification.
• Ability to perform a variety of inspection functions with minimal supervision.
• Writing and speaking skills in English.
