Quality Associate – Fresh Produce & Perishables

About the role

The Quality Associate will ensure that meat, seafood, produce and other perishable items meet Amazon's high quality standards. Working across stores, hubs and vendor sites, you will support vendors, drive process improvements and help reduce damage and expiry of fresh goods.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect inbound meat, seafood, fruits, vegetables, eggs and other perishables at Amazon stores, hubs and vendor locations.
• Reject damaged or defective items and record rejections by item, vendor and quantity.
• Audit quality during picking and packing performed by LPC associates.
• Monitor packaging standards and conduct daily bin audits, sharing reports with stakeholders.
• Train store and hub associates on quality procedures, SOPs and packaging requirements.
• Participate in stakeholder meetings and lead process‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Strong eye for detail and operational excellence.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build collaborative relationships.
• Problem‑solving mindset with initiative and calmness under pressure.
• Willingness to travel as needed and work occasional weekends within a 40‑hour week.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• HACCP certification and PIC 3 (Person In Charge) certification by SFDA/Highfield Food Safety Level 4.
• Knowledge of ISO 22000 and GMP standards.
• Familiarity with fruit and vegetable quality specifications and Saudi fresh‑produce markets (Riyadh, Al Kharj, Taif, Tabuk).
• Experience with analytical tools such as Google Analytics, SQL or HTML (preferred).
