Quality Inspector – Gas Cylinder Production

About the role

The Quality Inspector ensures that all gas cylinder production and handling activities meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance. Working on the plant floor and in the yard, you will conduct daily inspections, monitor processes, and support continuous‑improvement initiatives to keep product quality consistent.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections of cylinder production lines, checking weight tolerances, body quality, leak‑test results and rubber‑seal integrity.
• Verify calibration and proper operation of electronic weighing devices and leak‑testing equipment; record data in the quality management system.
• Segregate and document rejected or defective cylinders and maintain a follow‑up log until issues are resolved.
• Collaborate with production supervisors, maintenance and safety teams to address non‑conformances and support root‑cause analysis and CAPA implementation.
• Conduct regular tests (leak, dimensional, weight) as defined in the quality plan and prepare daily and monthly quality reports.
• Monitor adherence to Standard Operating Procedures and preventive‑maintenance schedules, escalating overdue actions that could affect product quality.
• Inspect yard operations, ensuring proper labeling, storage, and handling of cylinders, and report safety violations.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in quality inspection or quality assurance within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with gas cylinder production processes and relevant safety regulations.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to document findings accurately.
• Good communication skills for coordinating with production, maintenance and safety teams.

Required skills

• Use of electronic weighing devices and calibration procedures.
• Operation of leak‑testing and other inspection equipment.
• Proficiency with a quality management system for data entry and reporting.
