Quality Inspector

About the role

Proserv is seeking a Quality Inspector to ensure that equipment meets business, customer and legal requirements. The role works closely with workshop, production and engineering teams to uphold the company’s quality strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Work in accordance with the quality strategy and manage risk mitigation.
• Generate NOI, PMI and welding packs; review material certifications and test documentation.
• Perform visual, dimensional and in‑progress inspections, including flushing, pressure testing and final release.
• Conduct inspections both in‑house and at supplier facilities, coordinating with third‑party and client inspectors.
• Manage non‑conformances, lead root‑cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain robust GBMS content and ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
• Report against site targets, support improvement projects and attend training activities.

Required profile

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Formal training in inspection specialisms and internal or lead auditor qualification.
• Experience reading engineering drawings and interpreting dimensional reports.
• Previous experience in a similar quality inspection role.
• High level IT proficiency.

Required skills

• NDT Level II certification (RT, PT, MT, UT, VT).
• CSWIP 3.1, AWS CWI, NACE Level‑2 or BGAS Gr‑2 qualifications.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.
• Engineering drawing interpretation.
• Visual and dimensional inspection techniques.
• Material certification review.
• Strong IT skills for documentation and reporting.
