Quality Leader – Laboratory (Jeddah, Saudi Arabia)

About the role

The Quality Leader will head the Quality Management System for the minerals laboratory in South Jeddah, ensuring compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 and client requirements. This role drives a culture of quality, oversees QA/QC processes, and collaborates closely with laboratory staff and senior management to maintain data integrity and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead implementation, maintenance, and continual improvement of the laboratory QMS in line with ISO/IEC 17025.
• Oversee QA/QC processes to guarantee data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with standards and client specifications.
• Ensure consistent application of SOPs and quality protocols across all laboratory activities.
• Drive effective use of the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS), including data entry, validation, and control.
• Manage internal and external audits, close non‑conformances, and monitor corrective actions.
• Monitor QC and PT/RR data, analyse trends, and provide actionable insights to management.
• Validate analytical data before release and support troubleshooting of technical issues.
• Identify risks, implement preventive actions, and lead continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Provide technical guidance and QA/QC support to supervisors and staff, acting as the primary quality liaison.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Science, Geochemistry or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in a laboratory environment.
• Strong knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025, regulatory analysis, and quality standards.
• Proven experience with laboratory instrumentation and techniques.
• Demonstrated ability to lead audits, manage non‑conformances, and drive continuous improvement.
