Quality Technician – Food Safety & Quality Assurance

About the role

The Quality Technician supports the implementation of PepsiCo's Quality Food Safety (QFS) Management System at the plant level. You will ensure that products meet all specifications through continuous monitoring, testing, and inspection, while collaborating with cross‑functional teams to address any deviations promptly.

Key responsibilities

• Apply the QFS policy and execute all duties defined in the QFS Management System.
• Conduct product inspections against specifications using inspection sheets and generate related reports.
• Monitor compliance with food safety, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and hygiene standards.
• Perform behavioral safety observations as directed by the plant QFS Manager.
• Identify deviations, communicate them to stakeholders, and initiate hold/release actions for non‑conforming products.
• Validate corrective actions to confirm effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.
• Support QFS training initiatives and provide guidance to plant personnel.
• Carry out sanitation verification and bio‑trace sampling according to established procedures.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality and safety.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
• Proactive problem‑solving mindset with the capacity to act quickly on quality issues.
• Good communication skills for reporting findings and recommending actions.

Required skills

• Experience with QFS or similar quality management systems.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations, GMPs, and sanitation procedures.
• Ability to conduct product inspections and generate accurate documentation.
