Red Hat & Linux Infrastructure Specialist

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Red Hat & Linux Infrastructure Specialist to manage and secure our mission‑critical 24/7 production environments. The role focuses on RHEL lifecycle management, automation, and supporting enterprise Linux services across a large data centre.

Key responsibilities

• Administer RHEL 7/8/9 – provisioning, patching, upgrades, hardening and lifecycle management.
• Manage Red Hat Satellite for patching, repositories, software deployment and configuration.
• Support OpenShift, RHV, VMware and Linux HA/clustering environments.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting, performance tuning, capacity planning and vulnerability remediation.
• Maintain Linux services such as Apache, JBoss, Samba, DNS, DHCP and SFTP.
• Develop automation using Ansible and Shell scripting.
• Monitor infrastructure with Satellite, Dynatrace, SolarWinds, ELK and Nagios.
• Support Zerto‑based disaster‑recovery, replication and failover testing.
• Produce SOPs, architecture documents and technical documentation.
• Coordinate with Red Hat, VMware, vendors, application, security and infrastructure teams.

Required profile

• 8–11+ years of enterprise Linux/Red Hat experience.
• Strong hands‑on expertise with RHEL, Red Hat Satellite, OpenShift, Linux HA/clustering and RHV.
• Working knowledge of VMware virtualization and enterprise data‑center operations.
• Experience in 24/7 mission‑critical environments, preferably banking, telecom or regulated sectors.
• Relevant certifications such as RHCSA/RHCE, Red Hat OpenShift Specialist, Red Hat Ansible Automation Specialist; VMware certification is a plus.
