Regional Acceptance Localization Manager

About the role

The role leads Visa's acceptance localization strategy across Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa (CEMEA). It ensures Visa's in‑person payment capabilities meet local regulatory, scheme and infrastructure requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the SME for card‑present acceptance localization, defining business, operational and technical requirements.
• Partner with regulators, central banks, national payment companies and internal Visa teams to shape and deliver localization initiatives.
• Drive end‑to‑end execution of projects, including impact assessments, stakeholder alignment, testing and market readiness.
• Collaborate with global product, technology and processing teams to prioritize enhancements and build business cases.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in merchant acquiring, payment acceptance or in‑person payments product management.
• Strong knowledge of domestic payment schemes, regulatory programs and national routing mandates.
• Proven ability to work with regulators, financial institutions and cross‑functional internal teams.

Required skills

• Deep understanding of card‑present payment ecosystems and acceptance infrastructure.
• Experience translating regulatory requirements into technical specifications.
