About the role

The Regulatory Senior Advisor leads the development and implementation of legal support ticketing systems for customs regulations. Working autonomously with minimal direction, the role provides expert guidance to internal and external stakeholders on complex customs issues.

Key responsibilities

• Design and maintain legal support ticketing and knowledge‑management platforms to streamline customs query resolution.
• Conduct customs studies to continuously improve policies, procedures, and taxpayer journeys.
• Respond to internal and external customs queries, ensuring timely, compliant answers and escalating complex cases when needed.
• Maintain and publish up‑to‑date customs FAQ databases to enhance taxpayer experience.
• Analyze query trends, propose solutions, and track performance against legal support targets.
• Prepare reports on advisory performance, challenges, and lessons learned.
• Participate in meetings and workshops with regulatory bodies and government entities.
• Support junior team members, troubleshoot escalated problems, and ensure consistent adherence to policies and SOPs.

Required profile

• Senior‑level professional with proven autonomy in regulatory advisory.
• Strong analytical abilities to interpret customs regulations and develop practical solutions.
• Experience in managing ticketing systems, knowledge bases, and FAQ resources.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to train and mentor junior staff.
