Reliability Engineer – Gasification & Power

About the role

We are seeking a Reliability Engineer to improve the reliability, efficiency, and safety of critical equipment used in gasification and power generation. You will partner with Operations and Maintenance teams to minimise unplanned downtime and drive continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and enhance performance of key plant assets.
• Design and implement predictive and preventive maintenance strategies.
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and failure investigations.
• Analyse operational data to spot trends, risks and improvement opportunities.
• Support reliability‑centered maintenance (RCM), FMEA and other reliability methodologies.
• Collaborate across Operations, Maintenance and Engineering to optimise plant output.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and industry standards.
• Prepare reliability reports, recommendations and performance metrics.
• Lead continuous‑improvement initiatives using data analytics and predictive technologies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or related engineering discipline.
• Six years of experience in reliability, asset management or maintenance engineering within energy, power generation, oil & gas or heavy industry.
• Professional certifications such as CRE or CMRP are a plus.
• Experience with vibration analysis, thermography or condition monitoring technologies.
