Restaurant Waiter – Waitress

About the role

The Restaurant Waiter/Waitress provides attentive and efficient food and beverage service to guests across various outlet areas, including poolside, lounge, and beach settings. This role supports the team in delivering a high standard of guest service while maintaining a clean and orderly front‑of‑house environment.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and present menus, answering questions about food and beverage offerings.
• Accurately take and communicate guest orders to the kitchen and bar teams.
• Serve food and beverages promptly, monitor guest satisfaction, and respond to requests.
• Present bills and process payments when required.
• Assist with daily setup and breakdown of the restaurant, arranging tables, chairs, and service stations.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and presentation of the dining area throughout the shift.
• Ensure service stations are stocked with cutlery, napkins, condiments, and other supplies.
• Clear used dishes, glassware, and linen, transferring them to the stewarding team.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth restaurant operations and comply with all policies, health, safety, and sanitation regulations.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a customer service or food‑and‑beverage role within a hotel, resort, or high‑volume restaurant (preferred).
• Excellent communication skills in spoken and written English; additional languages are an asset.
• Positive, guest‑focused attitude with a professional and courteous demeanor.
• Ability to work efficiently, stay calm in a fast‑paced environment, and demonstrate physical stamina for extended periods of standing, walking, and carrying.
• Proactive, reliable, team‑oriented approach with impeccable personal grooming and adherence to uniform standards.
• Capability to anticipate guest needs and deliver exceptional service under pressure.
