Rig Material Expeditor (Saudi Arabia)

About the role

Eram Talent is looking for a Rig Material Expeditor to join its team in Saudi Arabia, working on site in the SA department. The role ensures the efficient delivery and management of drilling materials to various rig locations, supporting the operations and logistics of the projects in the region.

Key responsibilities

• Follow Saudi Aramco, D&WO and international HSE standards, policies and administrative controls.
• Monitor the progress and shipment of drilling materials and enter order status into the system.
• Maintain material and parts inventory and status information, keeping order priorities aligned with production schedules.
• Read production schedules, inventory reports and work orders to identify the type and quantity of materials needed and their availability.
• Distribute materials to production areas by hand, handcart, hand truck or forklift, and drive trucks to outlying work areas to check orders or deliver materials.
• Review the daily workload queue and prioritize orders by delivery date.
• Consolidate orders by vendor to reduce the number of contracts, keep in close contact with major vendors and advise them of potential delivery delays.
• Enter and maintain order and LDOR status, and monitor material and inspection certificate delivery.
• Advise the supervisor on vendor performance, prepare reports of poor vendor performance and assist in preparing reports requested by the superintendent or supervisor.
• Maintain records and files, and prepare tables, charts and graphs for presentations.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certification is a plus acceptable to Saudi Aramco.
• 2-3 years of experience in material expediting or inventory management, preferably in the oil and gas sector.
• Familiarity with HSE standards and procedures related to materials management.
• Willingness to adapt to the dynamic nature of the offshore work environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and materials management software.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Effective written and spoken English.
• Team collaboration and ability to handle multiple tasks.
