Rigger I

About the role

The Rigger I will support rig moves by preparing and executing detailed lifting plans for a variety of critical lift operations in oil, gas and petrochemical environments. The role requires strict adherence to safety standards, accurate calculations and effective communication on‑site.

Key responsibilities

• Approve lift arrangements, capacities and sling sizes based on load weight and centre of gravity.
• Inspect rigging equipment before use and ensure compliance with safety guidelines.
• Create and execute multi‑legged, choker‑hitch, tandem and other critical lifts following approved plans.
• Calculate sling‑angle stress, areas and volumes of loads, and perform metric‑to‑imperial conversions.
• Provide hand signals and radio communication to control loads during lifts.

Required profile

• High school diploma or higher.
• Valid Saudi Aramco‑approved Rigger Level 1 certification (minimum 6 months validity).
• 3–5 years of experience in oil & gas, petrochemical or industrial rigging operations.
• Fluent in English and Arabic.
