Safety Officer – EHS Specialist

About the role

The Safety Officer (EHS Specialist) will lead the implementation, monitoring and continuous improvement of our Safety Program. You will ensure compliance with local regulations and company standards while fostering a proactive safety culture across all departments.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, update and enforce safety policies, procedures and SOPs.
• Conduct regular risk assessments, hazard identification and maintain the risk register.
• Perform routine safety inspections, internal audits and present audit findings to management.
• Investigate accidents, incidents and near‑misses, conduct root‑cause analysis and recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare incident reports, safety performance metrics and KPI dashboards.
• Design and deliver safety induction, refresher training, toolbox talks and awareness campaigns.
• Support emergency response planning, fire drills and evacuation exercises.
• Maintain accurate, audit‑ready safety documentation and records.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in EHS or workplace safety.
• Strong communication, training and presentation abilities.
• Proven problem‑solving skills in risk assessment and incident investigation.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
